This is a meticulous reconstruction of my FB news feed at 9:00 a.m. this morning (14 postings).
All of these friends are author friends, yet I didn't get to see a single posting about any of their books.
Chances are your FB feeds looks similar.
Even more importantly, your friends' and followers' feeds probably look similar, too. While you may be wondering why your friends and fans never react to your postings they are watching cute viral postings because that's what FB shows them in their news feeds. (pls see the above illustration)
If there is one thing I have learned over the last few years then it is
HUGE data collectors like Amazon or Facebook always have a HUGE plan.
Ignoring the big picture can be dangerous because if you need their services you have to play their game.
Act now! Examine your own news feed. If you are seeing too many postings that have nothing to do with what you are trying to do chances are you:
- are following too many fan pages
- are following the wrong fan pages
- haven't improved your own personal profile
- post the wrong postings on your fan pages
- don't like, comment on, and share the right fan pages.
Always pay attention because Facebook's algorithms never sleeps.
